Hey Behaviorists,
In 500+ behavioral interviews at Meta, there was one mistake I saw more than any other. Check out the latest video to learn about picking the project to discuss at the top of your behavioral interview.
Right at the top of most behavioral interviews is an opportunity for you to describe your favorite project, or maybe the project you’re most proud of it.
This question helps to set the stage for the rest of the interview and if you want to know more about why it’s important, check out my previous video.
When picking what project to talk about, you should choose the one with the most…
impact
scope
and personal contribution by you
To help you prepare for this question and other questions in the behavioral interview, check out this worksheet to help you organize your projects. Use it to prep but also within the interview itself as a handy reference.
Yours in prepping,

Nice article. Have been following you for behavioral questions including your interview with HI which I use for my System Design preps. I had 1 question though since you have been with hiring committee. If my favorite project had a high impact that I talked about in my Behavior round and the bring it up for the Project Retrospective as well? Would that be a cause for concern for hiring decisions?
